Obnoxious & Inappropriate - Dale Sorenson's Blog

These are my inner-most thoughts, mostly about comedy and technology, but also occasionally other non-sequitur, tangential rants. Well OK, maybe these aren't my INNER-most thoughts. Those are mostly about dancers and Swedes, and would probably get me locked up if they ever became public ... but some hopefully interesting thoughts, anyways.

A Man With His Own Medium

Today on the A Train I met a man who makes sculptures out of used
Metrocards. He was very sweet and flattered that I wanted to take a
photo. He gave me the one he is holding in this image.

Go to the source.

It would seem that our local thieves have decided that mugging people
is too slow and are now taking whole ATMs.

As a former credit-union vice president, I can say that robbing financial institutions because "that's where the money is" isn't worth the pay out. The average bank or CU never carries more than $20,000 to $40,000 dollars cash and the same's true of their ATMs. But robbing a federal reserve institution lands you on InterPol. Hardly worth yielding yourself less than the value of a hotwired Hummer. Check out the videos of outdoor stand-alone ATMs that get clear-cut chained and yanked out. Funny stuff. One of ours was later found inside someone's UofU dorm room.

Igneous Is All The Rage This Season, Baby

My friend Mike invited me to see art in Queens. Apparently in Queens
art is rocks. Maybe next year they'll have fire.
